Summary: This position provides administrative and operational support to one or more Financial Consultants. Such responsibilities include servicing clients, researching problems, processing account forms and related paperwork, maintaining appropriate account records, and preparing client correspondence.

Preferred
College degree or post high school training or education
1-2 years general office experience, industry experience
Duties:
Service clients in a pleasant, professional manner and respond to routine inquires. Provide clients with requested information such as account balances, stock quotes or other account-related information.
Ensure that all appropriate account documentation is obtained and maintained.
Continually maintain a professional rapport with clients.
Facilitate the transfer of clients’ funds and/or securities and the issuance of checks upon request.
Provide professional telephone support for assigned Financial Consultant(s).
Keep assigned Financial Consultant(s) informed of all important information and activities related to their clients’ accounts and transactions.
Inform clients about missing paperwork and securities or funds due. Ensure compliance with branch, firm and compliance policies.
Coordinate and ensure timely mailing of client information (e.g. reports, research, etc.).
Compose and type letters or memos as requested in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Utilize company computer systems to service clients and assigned FCs.
Provide back-up support to other positions in the branch on a daily basis (e.g. Cashier/Wire Operator, Client Associates).
Assist assigned Financial Consultants in organizing and implementing direct mail campaigns.
Possess a basic understanding of most product categories (e.g. stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options, etc.).
Understand and adhere to all compliance policies and procedures. Watch for potential problems and alert respective Financial Consultant(s) and/or branch management as necessary.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality with respect to client, Financial Consultant, branch and company information.
Perform other duties as required, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the position, as well as to the branch as a whole.
